The best Paris events in April 2016

Everybody wants to visit the capital city of love, even in times of turmoil and distress. For the moment, the city is quiet and the tragic November 2015 remain a sad memory, long gone. The old city awaits its guests with arms wide open and offers lots of options for the best Paris events in April 2016. Let’s see what the city of lights and love and the avant-garde has in store for us this coming month!
April the 3rd 2016 is the day our series of events starts with the 40th edition of the Paris Marathon. On the first Sunday of the month, the streets of Paris will fill with enthusiastic runners ready to march through the city triumphantly (from the Place de la Concorde, passing the Tuileries and the Bois de Vincennes, the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Eiffel Tower, all along the Seine River straight to the Arc de Triomphe).
Between the 12th and the 17th of April, come to the Bourges Spring Festival if you want to charge your inner batteries with energy at the most eccentric music festival in France, which will gather artists from all over the world as well as aspiring stars. Why come to the 40th edition of the festival? To see Mika, Marina Kaye, Allen Stone, Son Little, Jeanne Cherchal, Katia Guerreiro and many other artists. As an alternative, you can watch a good movie or choose a good book in one of the other sections of the festival.
And of if you are in for an authentically French experience, you should attend the Foire du Trone, the oldest fun fair in town with a history dating back to the 12th century. It attracts some 5 million people yearly and is an excellent chance to visit the Bois de Vincennes and central Paris. If you need a way to get there quickly, Paris taxi can come to the rescue for a reasonable price.
